Oinking Acres Farm Rescue & Sanctuary will be open this FRIDAY October 17th for Fall Break from 11am-2:30pm for self guided tours. It’s $10 per person to enter the farm (including children of all ages) and we take our last visitor 30 minutes before we close.
Our gravel path will take you around the whole farm and visitors are encouraged to interact and get to know our friendly residents. You’ll find everything from pigs, to goats, to peacocks on the farm. Self guided tours are best for children 6 years and older and we do not allow strollers or wagons on the farm as they tend to scare the sanctuary residents. Please note we don’t allow dogs to be walked through the farm.
Our annual mum-raiser is coming to a close. This is We’ve got just a few mums left! Mums are $8 each or 3 for $20. The mums will be located back in the garden next to the general store this year so they don’t take up parking space in the gravel lot. **If you’re just coming to purchase mums, pick flowers, or shop in the General Store you don’t have to pay to get into the farm.**
U-PICK flower season is also coming to an end but we still have a few rows producing pretty blooms. U-PICK flowers are $1 per stem.
The General Store is where you’ll find a wide variety of treats and treasures. In our cold case we’ve got gourmet sodas, Rebel Cheese, and Amazeball Spreads. The shelves are stocked with vegan jerky and salami, pretzels, famous pickles, chips, and other sweet and savory items. Fill up a basket and have a picnic in the garden!
We plan to have The Kitty Cottage is open as well. After you’re done spending time with the pigs, pop on in the cottage and meet some of our adoptable kittens!
The Cottage is best suited for children over the age of 8 years old. We encourage a $5 donation per group to hang out with the kitties. This donation helps us keep the cottage open and allows us to help cats and kittens in our community that need it most!
Tanner has the tractor and wagon ready to go for rides around the farm, garden, and out to the patch on our adorable hay wagon! Hay rides are $5 per person and you can pick a pumpkin to feed to your favorite pig! Hay rides run every 30 minutes starting at 11:30am.
We’re excited to have the farm open on Friday for Fall Break and hope to see you later this week
