Winter time is incredibly hard on us so to help keep everyone fed and warm, we are opening up some visit days in January. Visiting the sanctuary in the winter looks a little different than in the summer and fall. January 18th we will be open from 10:30am-11:30am for visitors to spend quality one on one time with the pigs in the barn. Please note the whole farm will not be open, just the main barn and front barn. Visitors will have one hour to cuddle, feed, pet, and interact with pigs like Ripley, Riot, Reign, and Chester. The front barn, where the indoor pigs reside will also be open for visitors. This is not recommended for small children. It's a $20 donation per person and tickets must be purchased in advance. Our second annual Pumpkin Palooza will take place November 9th from 11am-2:30pm. It’s a $10 donation per person to enter the farm and we encourage visitors to bring whole, un-carved, un-painted pumpkins to feed the pigs. Newfields Art Museum donated several extra large pumpkins that weigh around 500lbs each. At 12pm we will drop one pumpkin in the pig pasture. You don’t want to miss this epic event!

Please “Join us at Our Table” on Saturday, September 7th at 6:00 pm, for an exclusive chef’s table experience at Oinking Acres Farm Rescue and Sanctuary.  This incredible evening will be hosted by Chef Logan McMahan, owner/chef of Nicole-Taylor’s Pasta+Market in Broadripple, IN. For anyone that knows Nicole-Taylor’s, knows that his Chef’s Tables events at his restaurant are always sold out and tickets are waitlisted!  Chef has graciously offered to curate an entirely plant based meal with the proceeds from the event to benefit the sanctuary.

The seating is limited to 30 guests. We hope that you will join us!

July 13th we rescued a little piglet that jumped off a semi truck and landed on I-70. Ripley has spent weeks in the hospital recovering from her injuries but is now back home at the farm. To celebrate her homecoming we are throwing a very exclusive meet and greet in the Flower Garden at The Back Forty. Tickets include one on one time with Ripley and you can pick your own bouquet of flowers. The Wandering Bee, a mobile coffe, tea, and lemonade cart will be set up in the garden serving up all the tasty drinks. Join us Friday August 9th from 7pm-9pm! We are so excited for this event! Mark your calendars! Saturday May 4th will kick off our annual flower fundraiser. We will have large, beautiful hanging baskets available for purchase. We are in need of bags of feed, Tractor Supply gift cards to purchase feed and more fencing materials, bags of shavings, straw bales, hay bales, towels, blankets, rugs, comforters and, produce, (apples, carrots, cucumbers, strawberries, and grapes are some of their favorites.)
